What is IIS about?
The Introduction to Interpreting Seminar is entirely about finding how participants would fit in the Professional Interpreting world.
Our 6 hour workshop is designed to identify the skills of those individuals interested in becoming professional interpreters. Our interactive program will give participants the chance to test their natural skills and learn about the different interpreting modes (consecutive, simultaneous...), types (court, medical, escort...), and techniques. The program will also review the ethical, human and confidentiality issues surrounding the interpreting profession.
